Kreddible Trout's 'Uniquely Mounted Photographic Artstuffs'™
.. a photographer and a mad scientist meet in a dark alley... one begins a knock-knock joke...
Kreddible Trout's 'UNIQUELY MOUNTED PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTSTUFFS'™ process is an ever evolving beast. Started several years ago in a musty ol 4"x 10" tool shed on a little island off the west coast of Canada with found & salvaged pieces of wayward wood and bric-a-brac, it is a process whereby I mount photographs in a truly unique and often maddening fashion. It has moved from simply mounting photos on hand sanded and stained or painted wood to mounting them in frames sought out in thrift stores and estate sales. Bashing things together and tearing them apart in a Frankenstein-ish fashion to create truly one-of-a-kind art.
Sometimes I use old utensil drawers.
Sometimes old cellar doors.
The occasional tennis racket brace.
Who knows, eh? It's crazy around here!
Matching colour and texture with a keen (if sometimes crossed) eye, each piece is one of a kind.
I insist on using environmentally friendly, non-toxic adhesives/sealers and paints as much as I can. Which is mostly always. (I don't like chemicals, they make you ugly. They make the planet ugly) About 95% of materials used in the pieces are salvaged. (I don't like waste so when I say these are 'frankenstein's monsters I'm not really joking.... they're all bits and pieces of a lot of stuff).
The best thing about uniquely mounted photography and something I feel strong enough about to become repetitive is that each piece is absolutely, indubitably, one-of-a-kind.
No one else will own your art even if they order the exact same prints.
Uniquely Mounted pieces are presently adorning the walls of satisfied customers in Toronto, San Diego, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Victoria, Montreal, Gabriola Island and are keen to be introduced to yours!
