About the Trout

KT in Hamilton Ontario. 2007.

Kreddible Trout is:
- a photographic artist/satirist
- a brazen idealist.
- a recovering poet.
- a well traveled former vagabond.
- not a Kurt Vonnegut allusion (but thanks for asking).
- the artistic pseudonym of William Foley.
- a club sandwich enthusiast.
- giggling at the back of the class.

Kreddible Trout was born in a bout of mild chickenshittedness and a need for certain anonymity moments before his first poetry reading many years ago. The artistic pseudonym stuck with the masonic fortitude of gum under a school desk, and has clung on long since 'the poetry thing' became tiresome. Kreddible Trout is mostly a photographic artist these days though words still play a role and often try to upstage the photos.
(There's occasionally a fight... a lot of egos over here.)
Kreddible Trout is self-taught. His one lesson, years ago, was when a friend told him to be careful not to take a picture with 'a tree or a stop sign growing out of someone's head' : composition.
His real teacher was his Pentax K1000, who patiently showed him the ropes while he wandered some very questionable alleys in Vancouver and Montreal in the early days of the millennium.
Admittedly, KT did take one photography seminar in 2009 that was 2% photography and 98% marketing. He spent most of his time over the three day workshop throwing up and crying on his soul and watching Bill Hicks videos on his laptop. Art wasn't mentioned there. Money was.
Kreddible Trout's work adorns walls all over the world. Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, Paris, Halifax, San Diego, San Fransisco, Los Angeles... and um... some other places. He's done several Large Scale Photographic Installations for offices and is often found in the garage bashing and cursing things together with hammers and adhering photos to them in a bit of mad science he likes to call 'Uniquely Mounted Photogrphic Artstuffs'™. He's very happy doing it, despite the curses.
